Quiz me on Quagga
(Canscene) — Last month, if you’d have asked me what a quagga was, I’d have told you it was an African quadruped with its forefront striped like the zebra family to which it belongs and the remainder the colour of a horse.
I gleaned this information in the mid-20s when as a natural history buff I devoured all available kidlit on the animal kingdom.
However this misinformation had been around for around 50 years, since checking on the internet the other day, I learned the last of the quaggas had disappeared in the 1870s
Malign this Information Age if you feel like it, but then, ask yourself what you’d do without it?
